In #1 we focused on the dangers of golf clubs. Today we look at another way golf equipment has been used to facilitate violence - against the United States government.

The January 6th rioters were armed. They stormed the Capitol building in an attempt to overturn the election of Joe Biden as the President of the United States.

Among the rioters were a group of Oath Keepers (a white supremacist, anti-government militia) who used a golf cart to bring themselves, their weapons, and various tactical gear to the Capitol Building. They breached the building with something government officials have referred to as a “large stick”, but what we believe may have been a driver.

This is yet another instance of dangerous golf equipment used by Trump supporters in support of their violent goals. It’s another reminder that every day, Americans are put at risk by golfers and their carts, clubs, and balls.

We must continue the fight to ban golf.
